The Mbole are a Bantu-speaking people living mainly in central Democratic Republic of Congo, especially along forested river systems. What Are Their Lives Like?

Most Mbole families depend on subsistence farming, fishing, and hunting. Cassava, plantains, maize, and river fish are dietary staples, often prepared in stews with palm oil.
